Skills & Capabilities Assessments may be implemented in one of two ways to meet the requirements of your organization:
CUSTOMIZED IMPLEMENTATION
Skills & Capabilities Assessments can be fully customized to meet
the requirements of a specific role in your organization and the "language" of your business. Customized
implementation is often the preferred option for organizations who wish to assess a large number of people (several hundred
to several thousand) in a single role or a smaller number of people in a very critical role.
In these implementations, we evaluate the individual's ability to apply the specific competencies that
have been identified as critical for the role in question in the types of situations faced most often by people in the role.
Customization allows you to assess both "soft" skills and capabilties (such as listening, questioning and trust building)
and "hard" skills and capabilities (those areas such as products, processes, etc. that are specific to your organization).
The reports generated by the Skills & Capabilities Assessments are also customized. The Assessment Summary
specifies levels of competency that are related to your competency benchmarks for the role. The developmental activites
and coaching checkpoints in the SMART Action Planner are linked to your existing learning programs and the client-centred
activities in the plan are also specific to your organization.
Because Skills & Capabilities Assessments customized implementations are tailored to your specific environment
and requirements, each implementation is different. A typical implementation effort will consist of the following phases:
This results in an initial implementation that is both effective and
efficient - as fast as 6 to 8 weeks, depending on the complexity of your specific requirements and the availability of key staff
from your organization. It also reflects the integration of the Skills & Capabilities Assessments in your on-going performance
management cycle, driving a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
You may choose to implement customized Skills & Capabilities Assessments by having your employees
connect to a secure sales.org Internet site or a corporate Intranet, or by paper-based questionnaires (at an additional
cost to cover production, handling and data entry expenses).
STANDARD IMPLEMENTATION
Organizations which, for reasons of size or smaller numbers of people
in roles, cannot or do not wish to pursue a fully customized implementation will be able to opt for our Standard Implementation.
This option offers you the ability to assess your people against those professional competencies that have been found to be best
practices for specific roles (such as sales, customer service and managment) It will also provide each person assessed with a
general developmental action plan, focused on the areas which will drive the most significant performance improvements. We also
provide a referral service for learning programs that are offered by our strategic partners.
This Standard Implementation of Skills & Capabilities Assessments is available by having your
employees connect to a secure online sales.org competency test site, or by paper-based questionnaires (at an additional cost
to cover production, handling and data entry expenses).
